Sydney is the capital of New South Wales and has so many options for travellers to enjoy. It is the main point of entrance for many travellers visiting Australia making it a bustling and vibrant city with lots to see and do.

What can I do?

There’s plenty to do in the city no matter what time of year you arrive. Explore Darling Harbour either on foot or by boat. You can even go whale watching on the harbour too! Make sure you visit the iconic Opera house for an iconic “I’m in Australia” photo. We recommend doing a bridge climb on Sydney harbour bridge for epic views of the city.

You’ll also want to head to the coast to the famous Bondi beach. Marvel at this stunning beach in Australia’s largest city. Go for a swim or maybe learn to surf. Just try not to end up on Bondi rescue.

There are plenty other beaches south of here as well with nice walks in between. Tamarama, Bronte and Coogee beach are all worth checking out.

If you’re in the mood for a night out there’s plenty of spots to hit up in the city or in Kings Cross as well.

One of the most popular day trips from Sydney is to visit the Blue Mountains National Park. Enjoy scenic hikes, see the famous Three Sisters rock formation and ride the worlds steepest railway.

Another popular trip is to go wine tasting in the Hunter Valley winery region. Fresh produce, chocolates, cheeses and of course wine await you in this scenic spot. Get on board a day trip to check it out.
