Description

Few diving locations on earth can compare to the thrill of exploring the Yongala shipwreck dive site. The Yongala is a dive that should be on everyone’s bucket list because of the mystery and history of the wreck and the abundance of marine life that lives there. We are the quickest way to get to the wreck because we are a PADI 5-Star Dive Resort with a special location on Alva Beach (20-minute drive from Ayr, QLD). We provide fantastic diving in small groups with knowledgeable dive staff.

Departures

  • Departs Alva Beach 7.30 am
  • Returns Alva Beach 2.30 pm

You must have your open water certification, six dives logged, and deep dive training in order to dive with us. During the first dive to the wreck, open-water divers must complete a deep orientation dive (underwater skills) with a PADI Dive Instructor ($25 extra cost applies). With additional fees, this could be credited towards the PADI Advanced course (text book required) Divers with more experience might opt to dive with a buddy or attend a free guided tour. If a diver has less than 20 dives, they should make sure they have updated their skills within the past six months. If they are adventure or advanced certified, they will be given a dive guide and may also be required to complete a Deep orientation dive (extra cost applies).
