Under Down Under daily overview

Leave Hobart and drive across the Derwent Valley, crossing the island from east to west.
You’ll view the stunning Russell Falls, walk amid the tall trees of Mt Field National Park, and explore Lake St Clair, Australia’s deepest freshwater lake. Explore the beautiful Franklin-Gordon Wild River National Park before finishing the day at Strahan.

Overnight: Strahan

The changing sands of Henty Dunes will be explored in the unspoilt wilderness of Tasmania’s West Coast. Then we travel through the Tarkine Rainforest to Tasmania’s highest waterfall, Montezuma Falls. Alternatively, you can join the world-famous Gordon River Cruise (optional, at your own expense).

Overnight: Strahan

The World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Claire National Park is located around 950m above sea level, and you can choose a route to suit your needs. Take a leisurely stroll around Dove Lake or challenge yourself with a hike to Marion’s Lookout. A short journey takes us to Launceston through Sheffield, the town of murals.
