Our knowledgeable guide will lead you on an environmentally responsible tour of stunning hidden inlets and bordering reefs, with enough kayaks for everyone on board. Being at one with nature is truly “unforgettable” in its own right.

This trip is a two-day, one-night Whitsunday cruise that can accommodate up to 19 passengers

Your travel itinerary

Set sail from Coral Sea Marina for Whitsunday Island while having lunch on route. At Tongue Bay, our guide will lead you on a bushwalk to Hill Inlet Lookout so you can capture some pictures before heading to the renowned Whitehaven Beach to unwind. When you get back on board, relax with some snacks and drinks as you go to our night anchorage. Take in a photo slideshow and a barbecue meal on the deck.

Wake up to the beauty of the islands, enjoy breakfast on deck then gear up for a snorkel to enjoy the underwater sea life.  After snorkelling, hop on board for some morning tea then jump back in for another snorkel or kayak.  Then its back on board for a BBQ lunch and then set sail back to Airlie Beach.

There is a 24-hour cancellation period for all day trips and a 21-day cancellation period for all private charters. Cancellations made outside these time frames will be refunded in full, minus any credit card or administration fees.

Please note: This is the cancellation policy of Whitsundays Sailing Adventures. If you have booked through a travel agent, you will be bound by their terms, and some agents will have longer cancellation periods.

COVID Policy

Please ensure you are aware of our policy regarding COVID-19, as you may be refused boarding if you have any of the following:

  • Any flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath
  • I have been in close contact with someone who is a confirmed case of Covid-19

If you are experiencing any of the above close to your departure date, please call us as soon as possible. Please do not try to partake in your tour if you are feeling unwell. No refunds will be given for any cancellations made within our cancellation period; however, if you are unable to travel, we are more than happy to write you a letter to help you make a claim on your travel insurance. There are many insurance providers now that will cover COVID cancellations. We strongly recommend that all guests have adequate travel insurance.

Ticket Terms

All prices are per person in AUD and include GST (excluding administration fees).  Prices are based on multi-share accommodation unless otherwise specified. Prices do not include air fares or transfers. While most pricing is quoted at a per-passenger rate, private cabins must be booked and paid for at the full cabin price.  Passengers wanting sole use of a private cabin will need to pay the full cabin price, usually for two people.  All prices include a professional skipper and crew, live-aboard accommodation, all meals, fresh linen, and the use of wet suits or stinger suits and snorkelling equipment.

Some vessels also include SCUBA diving.  This is an optional extra, and unless you have pre-paid for your dive, it is payable on board (in cash only). Prices are subject to change and are listed in your confirmation email and boarding pass.

Some vessels are liquor-licensed and provide the option of purchasing alcohol on board; therefore, no BYO is allowed on these vessels.  Most vessels allow guests to bring their own (BYO) alcohol to enjoy responsibly on board at no charge. Most vessels provide bottled water and soft drinks for purchase on board (in cash only).

Due to Airlie Beach being located in the tropics, we can occasionally experience inclement weather. Our wet season is usually anywhere from December to May, and we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance, which would cover such things as road closures, flight, bus, or tour cancellations.

Our tours offer adventure sailing, and we do not cancel due to rain, clouds, or strong winds. The Whitsundays are deemed to have partially smooth waters, and tours will only be cancelled if the Regional Harbour Master closes the area or if the operator or skipper of the boat deems the weather to be unsafe. The safety of our guests and our crew is our highest priority, and our vessel operators or crew reserve the right to vary itineraries for safety and passenger comfort. We also reserve the right to substitute vessels at any time, for any reason.

Clients should note that adventure travel involves risk. While we make every effort to safeguard guests, we cannot be responsible for any damage, personal injury, or loss due to the actions of passengers that are beyond our control. At certain times of the year, ‘dangerous’ jellyfish inhabit these waters, and passengers should take care for their own safety. Passengers entering the water do so at their own risk, and the owners or operators of the vessel will not be liable for any personal injury, illness, death, or any other consequences whatsoever of passengers being stung by jellyfish. To minimise this risk, you will be provided with a full-length protective ‘Stinger Suit’ to wear while swimming and snorkelling during the cruise. Whitsundays Sailing Adventures.com and its related bodies corporate, its officers, employees, and agents are not the owners or operators of any vessel on which any passengers sail. Accordingly, it shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any injury to person or property that is suffered or sustained by any passenger as a result of participating in any of its sailing adventures, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.  They also reserve the right to substitute any vessel at any time.

Special Needs

Passengers travelling who have special needs, including children under twelve, the elderly, mobility issues, or special medical conditions, need to contact the Whitsunday Sailing Adventures check-in office and discuss their special needs prior to booking. Special needs need to be approved by the operator prior to booking, or else boarding for the tour may be refused.

If Whitsundays Sailing Adventures has not been notified of the above prior to our 14-day cancellation policy, you may be refused boarding, and there will be no refund as per the cancellation policy.
