Pippies 3 day 2 night Itinerary

complete run down on your day to day adventure

Pippies Fraser Island Tours begin at 7 a.m. precisely and begin with a 20-minute barge journey from Inskip Point to Fraser Island.
Drive to Eurong while marvelling at the first 75-mile stretch of the coastline. Then, we move towards Lake McKenzie in the inland
When you reach Lake McKenzie, plunge into its crystal-clear, wonderfully pure waters. Words cannot do justice to this magnificent lake.

Drive to Central Station, where we have lunch and stroll along Wanggoolba Creek’s scenic banks. Discover the past of Fraser Island, back when this stunning island wasn’t protected. After that, we head back to Pippies Camp via a 75-mile beach.
After a long day, arrive at our magnificent campsite and relax.
It’s time to eat! Together, you and your new Fraser family will prepare a BBQ, and you will all spend the evening mingling by the campfire or in the shaded seating area.

Wake up early and have some toast and cereal for breakfast before getting back in the cars and continuing north.
Come to the Champagne Pools to cleanse while seeing the amazing waves that are slamming into the natural rock pools to produce the effervescent “champagne.” After that, we return to the cars for the brief trip to our next stop.

To view the incredible marine animals that can be spotted off Fraser Island, climb the magnificent Indian Head, one of the few granite structures on the island. If we’re lucky, we might see humpback whales (from August to October), sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, enormous rays, and a lot of schools of tropical fish. After lunch, we’ll take a drive back to Pippies Camp before moving on to the next stop.
Eli Creek, the largest creek on the Eastern Beach, is just a short distance along the beach. Take a rubber ring for a stroll up the boardwalk, then float down these peaceful waters. Up to 4 million litres of fresh water per hour are pumped into the ocean by Eli Creek.

Maheno Shipwreck

The Maheno shipwreck, which is the second-to-last stop of the day, is close to Eli Creek and Pippies’ Fraser Island Tours camp. Watch the rusty wreck as it contrasts with the setting light, the ocean, and the stunningly coloured sands that can be seen up the shore.

Finally, on the way back to Pippies camp, a quick stop at The Pinnacles. This sand structure, when viewed from the beach, is an excellent illustration of the coloured sands found along the Fraser Coast.

After an incredible day, we return to Pippies Camp to relax, wash off the sand in the magnificent restroom facility only a short distance from our campsite, and then eat more. We prepare pasta bolognese and garlic bread as a unit in the Fraser Family, then spend another evening mingling under some of the most beautiful stars in the Southern Hemisphere.

For your final day in paradise, get up! Before moving on to the last stop on our Fraser Island Tours, another brief and straightforward breakfast will be served.

To get to Lake Wabby’s inlet, travel a reasonable distance along Eastern Beach. Here, we will take a 40- to 45-minute stroll through the forest and out onto the Hammerstone Sandblow over a lovely sand pathway. The deepest lake on Fraser Island is Lake Wabby, which is accessible by a short stroll along the beach. So make sure to cool off on its shores after taking a bath.

It’s time to return to the barge and Rainbow Beach after our beachside meal. But not before looking for the enigmatic Eugarie and discovering what our name means: Pippies
Between 1:00 and 4:30, return to Pippies Beachhouse at Rainbow Beach. (subject to tidal influences) Spend one final evening relaxing with your new Fraser family!
