7 AM
From outside your Alice Springs accommodation, your guide will pick you up.
As we journey along the gorgeous West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping at historical places, you’ll witness breathtaking outback beauty and have plenty of photo opportunities.
MORNING
Enjoy your morning tea before leaving Hermannsburg and travelling by 4WD through the historic Finke River bed.
Following a stop at The Amphitheatre, we take a scenic 4WD drive into Palm Valley, where you may explore the remnant palms and cycads. You will get the chance to see this desert oasis and finish the River Walk.
LUNCH
As we depart Palm Valley, we stop off at Cycad Gorge, before stopping for a Bushman’s lunch at the picturesque picnic area.
AFTERNOON
Visit the Historic Precinct of Hermannsburg known to the Arrarnta people as ‘Ntaria’.
Explore Hermannsburg, the birthplace of celebrated Aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira in 1902 and is renowned for its indigenous art collection. Take a look at the historic buildings and the Art Gallery during your visit.
LATE AFTERNOON
Return to Alice Springs as you watch the fading light reflecting off the MacDonnell Ranges.

WHAT TO BRING
Travel voucher, water bottle (capacity 1.5 litres), strong non-slip walking shoes, hat (wide brimmed is best), flynet, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, casual and comfortable clothing (cool, light clothing is best in summer and warm clothing for winter).
Cancellation by Customer
The Customer may cancel the Tour/Transfer/Private Charter and will receive the following refund:
Day Tours & Uluru Transfers
- 4 days or more prior to the day of departure: your payment will be refunded less an admin fee of $20
- Within 3 days of the day of departure: reservation is non-refundable but the amount will be kept as credits valid until the end of December 2023.
