From the heart of Cairns, the lovely Barron Gorge National Park is approximately 20 minutes away (40 minutes ex-Port Douglas). It is renowned for its rough mountains covered in rainforest, deep gorges, the impressive Barron Falls, and of course, the Barron Gorge, which the Barron River carved out over thousands of years.

Rafting with Foaming Fury from the heart of Cairns, the lovely Barron Gorge National Park is approximately 20 minutes away (40 minutes ex-Port Douglas). With its rough mountains covered in rainforest, deep gorges, the impressive Barron Falls, and of course, the Barron Gorge, which the Barron River carved out over thousands of years.

This gorgeous rafting trip through the rainforest blends drifting on calm river with a series of white water rapids for excitement and action.

Foaming Fury rafting is up to two hours on grade 3 rapids. and the rafts can accommodate up to seven passengers in addition to your river guide. No prior knowledge required.

Before participating you will be required to sign a liability release form prior to the trip commencing.
When the Barron River is unavailable due to river levels or other factors, half-day rafting tours on the Mulgrave River may be used.
