Description

Begin your small group luxury Litchfield tour with convenient pickup from your Darwin accommodation around 7 am. Journey south in Mercedes comfort along the Stuart Highway to the crystal-clear waters of Berry Springs.

Berry Springs Nature Reserve

Berry Springs includes a diverse range of habitats and options.  In addition, from the depths of the earth, clear geothermal waters rise to the surface and cascade over a small waterfall. This creates the perfect opportunity to sit and enjoy a relaxing water massage.  The moment also lends itself to savoring homemade mango muffins and morning coffee.

Departures

  • Depart Darwin 7 a.m.–8 a.m.
  • Return Darwin between 4 pm and 6 pm

After the massage, perhaps paddle or swim around and watch the abundant aquatic wildlife.  Maybe you would rather just sit and stay in the waterfall or go for a serene rainforest stroll along the creek.

Reluctantly leaving this piece of heaven, we set our sights on the wonderland, which is Litchfield National Park

Note: Berry Springs is usually seasonally closed from November to the end of April and, as such, will not be included in the itinerary during this time.

Litchfield National Park

After Berry Springs, it is time to explore Litchfield National Park. Known for its diversity and abundance of great waterfalls such as Florence Falls, Wangi Falls, and Tolmer Falls,.  It is also home to unique wetlands, stone country, ravines, gorges, cathedral termites, magnetic termites, and much more.

Within this kaleidoscope of great aspects, you can expect to see many fine examples on your Litchfield tour.

Cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear swimming spots, grand viewpoints, endemic plants, and animals.  All are on your list of things to experience.

Enjoy the relaxed pace as your guide tailors the afternoon to suit you.

Having satisfied our exploratory and adventure needs, we pass through the historic township of Batchelor on the edge of Litchfield National park

Batchelor

Batchelor is a melting pot of personal stories of the people and events that shaped the NT.  Such things as WWII, uranium mining for nuclear weapons, farming research, indigenous education, and the lives and times of the pioneering people who live here and the first nation people who call it home.

Back in Darwin around 4 to 6 pm, depending on you.
