Kata Tjuta

We proceed to Kata Tjuta (Olgas) for the day’s first walk into Walpa Gorge. Take in the domes of Kata-Tjuta on your first hike of the day, then return for views of the vast plains.

Aboriginal Cultural Centre

We’ll then go to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where you may learn about the Pitjantjatjara people and buy some souvenirs. The Cultural Centre was constructed with the assistance of the indigenous Anangu people. It is built on a sacred location and holds great significance for the indigenous Anangu people.

Uluru – Mala Walk

Emu Run proceed to the base of Uluru (Ayers Rock), which is located next to the Uluru climb entrance. One of the two guides will then lead you on a guided Mala Walk. The Mala Walk follows the north-west side of Uluru, where you may see many beautiful examples of Anangu rock art and marvel at the sheer vertical walls. The guide will present Anangu People dreamtime stories.

Uluru – Mutitjulu Waterhole

We drive around Uluru from the front to the Kuniya vehicle park, which is in the back. From here, we begin our second guided Uluru walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. The guide will lead you down a short trail to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, which is home to an ancestral water snake known as Wanampi. The guide will tell stories about local traditions and describe how the Anangu people used to hunt in the waterhole.
