Day 1

Join your crew of British Defenders at the Coral Sea Marina on Airlie Beach at 8 a.m. for a headcount. And then depart at 8:30 a.m. Are you feeling energized? Assist in hoisting the sails! Alternatively, sit back and relax as you float across the Whitsunday Passage to Whitsunday Island, where you will anchor at Tongue Bay. Take a guided bushwalk to the Hill Inlet Lookout to get that perfect shot of Whitehaven Beach.

After admiring the postcard views, get in among them and sink your toes into the unique silica sand. Climb the driftwood tree, say hello to the local sea creatures, or go shelling on the beach. You’ll sail north in the afternoon to another island, where you’ll anchor just before sunset. Enjoy a drink and some pre-dinner snacks while watching the sun set over the Whitsundays. After dinner, grab a drink and strike up a conversation with your new friends.

Day 2

Breakfast first, then snorkeling gear on, ready to jump in over the fringing coral reefs. Beautiful tropical fish and other marine life, including a turtle if you’re lucky, will greet you as you swim, dart, and go about your business. It’s time for morning tea before moving on to another location for a swim, snorkel, or beach stop.

After lunch, it’s time to raise the sails and make our way across the Whitsunday Passage. Return to Airlie Beach at 4 p.m. (Perfect time to check into your hotel, refresh, and meet your new friends for an after-party!
