Mulgas departs from the Ayers Rock Resort or the airport. returns in time for you to board your return flight from Ayers Rock Airport or Ayers Rock Resort (approximately 10:30 a.m.). This excursion can also start and end in Alice Springs

Your travel itinerary

Day 1: Uluru

We’ll pick you up from the Ayers Rock Airport and take you to the Cultural Center for lunch and a look at the area’s wildlife and Aboriginal culture. You can explore this spectacular rock on foot after lunch. We then depart to enjoy a glass of champagne while seeing the magnificent Uluru sunset. Then we make our way back to camp to have a lovely. Meal later, get into your swag later for the ideal view of the outback stars.

Day 2: Uluru and Kata Tjuta

We get up early to see the sunrise over Uluru and then go through the Valley of the Winds to visit the numerous domes of Kata Tjuta. After that, your guide and the group have a cultural walk back to Uluru’s base. After lunch, we start the trip to Kings Creek Station, where we will set up camp for the night and have a traditional Australian BBQ dinner by the campfire.

Day 3: Kings Canyon

With a hike along the rim, we take on the formidable Kings Canyon today. After that, you can choose to return to Kings Creek Station via helicopter or quad bike (at your own expense). Following that, we head to our unique bush camp at Curtain Springs Station, where you can spend your final night under the stars as the sun sets over Mount Connor.

Day 4: Uluru Departure

The day begins in a relaxed manner as we eat a prepared breakfast. At approximately 10:00 a.m., we make one final photo stop before leaving you off at the airport.

Yes, it is a health regulation requirement to have a sleep sheet or sleeping bag inside your swag. It will also keep you warmer at night.

Cost $30 hire

If you are on the 3-Day Rock Trip, you should only bring a small backpack and store your large luggage in your hostel.

If you are on the 4-Day Rock-to-Rock Tour, we may pick you up from Ayers Rock (Uluru) Airport, in this case we understand that you will have suitcase.

Please keep this in mind, and plan ahead as best you can. The less you bring with you, the happier you will be!

Booking Cancellations and Amendments Policy

Mulgas reserves the right to cancel a tour, amend itineraries, change carriers and apply surcharges without notice. Our departures are dependant on passenger numbers.

If we need to cancel a tour or service, we will make every effort to offer a suitable alternative. Where no alternative is available, we will refund your tour price in full.

Cancellation Terms [updated 6th June 2023]

These Cancellation Terms only apply to bookings made directly with Mulgas Adventures on this Site. 3rd Parties such as Booking agents and Travel agents will each have their own cancellation policies, and these may differ from those of Mulgas. For more information please contact your point of purchase.

Booking Cancellation and Booking Amendment fees are necessary to cover costs associated with planning and operating individual Tours, and are consistent with the real costs to us.

Cancellation fees:

  • 11 days or more before departure = 35% of booking.
  • 4 – 10 days before departure = 80% of booking.
  • 3 days or less before departure = 100% of booking. (if we find another passenger, fee = 80% of booking.)

Amendment fees:

  • 11 days or more before departure = 10% of booking.
  • 4 – 10 days before departure = 35% of booking.
  • 3 days or less before departure = 100% of booking. (if we find another passenger, fee = 80% of booking.)

Mulgas recommends Travel Insurance to all passengers.

Service Terms and Conditions

Mulgas Adventure Tours recommends that you arrange personal travel insurance which will provide you with the best cover in any event.

We accept no responsibility for injury, illness or other such accident sustained while on tour. Mulgas accepts no liability for lost or stolen property.

Reliable and well-maintained fleet

We proudly stand by our strong record of operating a reliable and well maintained fleet.

No refunds are given in instances of mechanical breakdown or adverse weather conditions. All Tours are supported with contingencies in place to provide the best experience possible in any foreseeable adverse situation.

Mulgas cannot guarantee pick up and drop off times but can provide advice to its best ability. All efforts are taken to provide the best experience possible for each passenger.

Please be aware that we operate in extreme temperature and in remote areas, and that passengers must act according to instructions from our Tour Guides. When making a booking and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you agree to follow instructions including Safety instructions by our Guides for the duration of the Tour.

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you meet the age requirement.

You may not use our Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose. Nor may you, in the use of this Service, violate any laws in any jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws in some areas, and the consumption of alcoholic beverages on board any bus).

Do you feel unwell? Passenger safety is our priority!

Persons must not embark on a tour if you have any form of medical condition, mental health condition, injury, illness, contagious disease or any other condition, which would impact on your ability to participate in group activities safely, or which would put at risk the safety and wellbeing of other passengers.

Any breach or violation of any of the Terms of Service may result in an immediate termination of our Services.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. Our primary consideration is the safety of all passengers, staff and people we come into contact with during our Tours.
