With a maximum of 12 guests, Wild Byron focuses on giving you a close encounter with the whales. On a small, personalised safari-style excursion.

You will be escorted during the tour by marine specialists and researchers who have in-depth knowledge of the whales and their behaviours. While using our underwater hydrophone, we heard the Humpback Whale singing.
Onboard photographers with experience will record your trip’s most memorable moments. And share the images without charge, so you can relax and take it all in.
As we tour the breathtaking Cape Byron Marine Park coastline, we are very likely to come across multiple whales as well as other aquatic animals, including dolphins, turtles, and migrating seabirds.

Tours depart from Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour, only 15 minutes from Byron Bay. Due to our COVID-19 risk reduction procedures, guests will not be allowed onboard if they are displaying fever or flu-like symptoms.

What to bring
We recommend warm clothing, rainproof jacket, flat comfortable shoes, hat or beanie and sunglasses. It is usually colder on the open water than on land. You’re welcome to bring your camera, although our onboard professional photographer will also capture special moments of your trip and share the photos through our social media at the end of each day. And most importantly, remember to bring a sense of adventure!
Cruise departure point
Our vessel departs from the Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour, just 15 minutes North of Byron Bay, where you will find plenty of free parking all day. If you do not have your own transport, taxis, ubers or public transports are also available.
Important info before travel
Our tours are subject to suitable tides and sea conditions and your safety and comfort is our priority. Our team monitors the forecast everyday and our decision are mostly based upon wind and swell strengths and directions. If your tour is cancelled due to unsuitable sea conditions, you can reschedule to another day or receive a full refund.
We understand that sometimes life happens, therefore we offer 100% refunds on cancellations up to 48 hours before your tour. Same applies if you wish to change your date or departure time.
