Stretch out on the fixed rear double bed, cook up a meal in the fully equipped kitchen, freshen up in the indoor wet room and keep your adventures going with 80L of fresh water, solar power, and a diesel heater — perfect for heading off the beaten track or travelling in the cooler months.
And with a generous rear garage for bikes, surfboards and luggage, there’s room to bring more of what makes your adventure convenient.
This campervan fully complies with the latest Self-Containment requirements and certified Self-Contained under new 2025 regulations.

- Bed 2 (lounge): table converts to single bed (1.70m x 0.80m)
Equipment
- A kitchen with 2 burner gas hob, a sink, a fridge and everything you may need to cook your meals (pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, kettle, coffee plunger, etc.)
- A rear double bed 1.95 m x 1.40 m, plus a single bed 1.70 m x 0.80 m made from the dinette table. Pillows and bed linen are provided.
- Lots of cabinet storage space, plus a large garage under the bed that fits adult bikes and surfboards.
- Fixed flush toilet and an indoor cold shower with tray, drain and curtain. A solar shower is also supplied.
- Diesel heater, the only one in our fleet.
Tech and Electrical
- Solar panel mounted on the roof which charges the auxiliary battery.
- Rechargeable house battery (in addition to starter battery) running all camper equipment.
- Control panel for lights, fridge, water pump, stereo and the heater.
- Water level is checked at the push of a button, and battery charge is shown on the voltmeter.
Driving
The Outrider is a brand new and comfortable LDV Deliver 9 vehicle running on an automatic 2.0L diesel engine. It has a reversing camera, lane assist and a large infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Since the Outrider runs on diesel fuel, it’s subject to RUC (Road User Charges), New Zealand’s per-kilometre road tax. The vehicle’s GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) is around 4,000 kg, which puts it in the 3,501–6,000 kg band, at $82 per 1000km. We prepay it for you at the time of booking based on 200km/day, which is the average distance driven by most of our clients. It would be around $16/day. When you drop-off the vehicle, we square it up against the actual mileage on the odometer. You pay the difference if you drove more, we refund you if you drove less. Take note that the RUC is set by the government and can change without prior notice.
All Waka Campa customers receive 8 cents off per litre of fuel at Mobil Petrol stations.

Cancelation Policy
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:
- More than 30 days → No fee applicable
- 30 to 22 days → 25% of total hire
- 7 to 21 days from pickup → 50% of total hire
- Less than 7 days from pickup → 75% of total hire
- Less than 3 days from pickup → 100% of total hire
