About Steep Point and Dirk Hartog Island Full Day Marine Safari
Full day cruise to the most westerly point of mainland Australia, Steep Point, spotting wildlife all the way. – You may see Dolphins, dugongs, rays, green & loggerhead turtles, sharks and if you’re here between July and October, you can also witness the amazing Humpback Whale migration. – You’ll view the stunning beauty of Shelter Bay, take in the Zuytdorp Cliffs, see Steep Point and do some exploring on foot on Dirk Hartog Island. We’ll also get you in the water for a snorkel at picturesque spots. – Our skipper and guides are full of knowledge about the area and to make your journey even more enjoyable. You’ll receive a marine life briefing on the local wildlife and a maritime history briefing. whatisincluded: – PADI professionals & skipper with years of experience in Shark Bay – Marine life briefings on Shark Bay Snorkel equipment provided – Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, hot/cold drinks, soft drinks provided. Please Note: All boat tours are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers. Snorkelling spots will be chosen by the crew subject to weather conditions. Although we can cater to special dietary requirements on tours, we cannot guarantee trace amounts of contamination. If you suffer from severe allergies please let us know. You are also able to bring your own food on board.

Important Info
Refund Policy for Shark Bay Eco Tours
- For cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the tour date, Shark Bay Eco Tours will provide customers with a full refund, minus a 10% booking fee.
- Cancellations made more than 8 days but less than 30 days in advance will receive a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 8 days prior to the tour date.
- Failure to attend on the agreed date, time, and place may result in no refund.
- Shark Bay Eco Tours reserves the right to alter routes, vehicles, vessels, and tour times when necessary.
Concession Rate Policy
- Concession rates are available to holders of valid Senior Cards, Pension Cards, or full-time student cards.
- Proof of concession status must be presented prior to tour commencement. Acceptable forms include physical cards or official digital versions, which clearly display name and eligibility.
- If sufficient proof is not provided prior to the tour, the booking will be adjusted to the standard rate. The difference will be automatically charged to the card or payment method linked to the booking.
Waiver Requirement
- All participants are required to complete a waiver prior to the commencement of the tour. This applies to all activities and experiences.
- Refusal to complete the waiver form may result in exclusion from certain activities, or the entire experience, at the sole discretion of Shark Bay Eco Tours.
- No refunds will be provided for non-participation due to refusal to complete the waiver.
Dive Tour Conditions
- All divers, whether certified or uncertified, must complete and sign a ‘Liability Release and Assumption of Risk’ agreement, and a Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding. Failure to complete these forms will prohibit participation in any diving activities.
- Certified divers must present their certification card before the tour commences. Failure to do so will result in the inability to participate in diving activities. Lost certification cards should be reported prior to booking.
- If it has been over 12 months since the last dive, Shark Bay Eco Tours may require the participant to complete a SCUBA Review before the day trip.
Other Tour Terms and Conditions
- Minimum numbers are required for all 4WD and marine tours. Failure to meet these minimums will result in a full refund or the option to rebook for a different date.
- All tours are subject to weather conditions. Shark Bay Eco Tours may cancel tours due to safety concerns or unsuitable weather. In such cases, customers will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Dive Course Terms and Conditions
- Refunds for dive courses follow the standard refund policy, minus consumable costs provided before the course commencement.
- Consumable costs for dive courses are as follows:
- Open Water – $260
- Advanced Open Water – $230
- Rescue Diver – $230
- PADI course students must complete a RSTC Medical Statement before booking. Any student answering YES to any condition on the Statement must obtain an Australian Standard AS4005.1 Diving Medical before the course begins. No refunds will be provided for change of mind unless deemed medically unfit to dive by a diving doctor.
