Supplier Notes
- Water-based activities contain a certain element of risk and all participants must sign a Liability Release Form. People traveling under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian to be able to sign this form at the arranged pick up point.
- Participants must disclose any medical condition prior to traveling.
- Be aware that some medical conditions may exclude people from participating in our tours, eg pregnancy.
- For all water-based activities, you must have a competent swimming ability and be able to understand and follow instructions in English. Comprehension will be assessed by Guides at the time of pick-up. If there are concerns about your ability to understand instructions and communicate with our Guides, you will not be able to participate in the tour and no refund is available or will be provided.

Travel Conditions
Tour itineraries are subject to change due to weather, river, road and other factors beyond our control. Changes could impact the itinerary, departure times, dates.
Bookings
Pre-bookings are essential and subject to availability and minimum numbers.
Pricing
Fares apply to the below age groups:
Adult: 12 yrs and over
Child: 2 – 11yrs
Infant: Under 2 yrs
Family: 2x adults + 2x children
* During transport, children must sit on a parent’s lap. Meals are not included.
NOTE: For the minimum age per tour, please refer to the ‘Minimum Age’ Section.
Minimum Numbers
All tours are subject to minimum numbers to operate. Where minimum numbers have not been met for an activity, guests will be given the option to reschedule, change to an alternate tour, or cancel their reservation without fees. Guests will be contact via the details provided at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
- Full refund for cancellations made more than 48 hours before the tour.
- 50% refund for cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the tour.
- No refund for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour.
- No refund for no-shows without notice. However, you may reschedule for another date (with-in 3 years) at a cost of $50.00 per person.
Changes to Bookings:
- No fee for changes made more than 48 hours before the tour.
- $5.00 per person fee for changes made between 24 and 48 hours before the tour.
- $15.00 per person fee for changes made less than 24 hours before the tour, but prior to the scheduled departure time.
Note: Any booking that is changed within 48 hours of the scheduled tour becomes non-refundable.
Group Cancellation Policy
1 FOC seat for every 15 paying passengers for bone fide Tour Leaders
Payment is due 7 days prior to travel
No Refund: Cancelled less than 7 days prior
‘Pay on board’ Levy
Pay-on-board levy is a component of our retail price which we require to be paid directly to Cairns Adventure Group for Rafting ($30.00pp) and Tubing Tours ($15.00pp).
This can be pre-paid by contacting our office, or on the day with our Guides.
Medical Conditions / Impairments and Disabilities
Please disclose any conditions that may impact your experience, or the experience of others at the time of booking. Our friendly team can confirm your suitability, and where possible, ensure provisions are made to provide a memorable experience.
Please be mindful that pregnant guests are unable to participate in white-water rafting, rainforest tubing or jet boating activities.

Liability Release Forms
TULLY RAFTING: For everyone’s safety, all Tully rafting guests must be capable swimmers and able to understand safety briefings in English. Our River Guides will assess English comprehension at pick‑up. If you are unable to understand instructions well enough to participate safely, you will not be able to join the tour. Refunds are not available in this situation.
Unaccompanied Child Policy
If the Trip Leader/ Senior Staff Member deems the minor is unfit/ unsuitable to travel solo, they reserve the right to deny travel.
Guests 11yrs and younger: Must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian whilst on tour.
Guardians can be anyone accompanying the minor who is 18 years or older.
Minimum ages
Family Rafting: 6 years
Barron River Rafting: 12 years
Tully River Rafting: 13 years
Jet Boat Tour: No minimum age, however minimum height it 1.1m tall
Cairns Boat Hire: Skipper must be 18yrs or older
Cairns River Cruise, Waterfall Wanderers, Daintree Day Tour: No minimum age

Lost Property
Guests are responsible for their own belongings at all times. Cairns Adventure Group does not accept liability for any lost, stolen, or misplaced items during your tour.
If an item is confirmed found:
- It can be collected from our depot during business hours.
- Alternatively, we can arrange postage at the guest’s expense.
Please note: Lost property is held for a maximum of 14 days. After this period, unclaimed items will be responsibly discarded or donated.

Delivery Policy
Once a booking is confirmed and payment received, your travel time will be confirmed. This is done via email. Guests are encouraged to reconfirm their bookings 24hrs prior by phone (1800 801 540) or email (info@cairnsadventuregroup.com.au).
Force Majeure
Cairns Adventure Group is not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes to services caused by events beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”).
These include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events that prevent us from operating.
Force Majeure does not include changes to personal travel arrangements or third-party services, including airline schedule changes or cancellations.
Where a Force Majeure Event occurs, we may cancel, reschedule, or modify bookings. We will use reasonable efforts to offer alternative arrangements, including rescheduling or a credit. Refunds will be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.
This clause overrides standard cancellation terms where a Force Majeure Event applies.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Cairns Adventure Group may use artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance customer service, improve website functionality, and support operational efficiency. These tools assist with tasks such as responding to enquiries, providing travel information, and streamlining booking processes.
Security capabilities and policy for transmission of payment card details
All online transactions are processed on a secure payment page (SSL Server Certificate). Cairns Adventure Group does not handle your credit card details. Secure credit card payments are processed by our booking engine supplier www.respax.com.au
Credit Card Payments
All transactions will be processed in AUD, inclusive of a 1.75% surcharge. The Card holder and Credit Card used in this booking must be present on the day of the tour to sign and verify the use of their card for this booking. Should the Card holder or Credit Card not be present on the day of travel then another form of payment must be made. If this happens then the original amount will be refunded onto the credit card minus $2.00 for transaction fees. If the Credit Card holder is not present on the tour then the tour operator reserves the right to take payment in full on the day or cancel the customers tour and the relevant cancellation policies would apply.
