With a strict limit of 14 passengers, you’ll enjoy an intimate, personalized experience far from the crowds of larger boats.
Your adventure begins in Port Douglas, where you’ll board the purpose-built rigid inflatable boat for an exhilarating ride across the Coral Sea. Upon reaching the outer reef, you’ll have 1.5 hours to explore vibrant coral gardens teeming with marine life. Expect to encounter giant clams, parrotfish, reef sharks, and possibly turtles in crystal-clear waters averaging 25 meters visibility – some of the best on the Great Barrier Reef. All snorkeling equipment is provided, including wetsuits or stinger suits when needed, along with bottled water to keep you hydrated.
Unlike typical reef tours, this experience focuses purely on quality snorkeling time at premium locations selected daily based on optimal conditions. The small group size ensures personalized attention from your marine-savvy crew, who will point out hidden gems and ensure your safety throughout. While not suitable for those with back/neck issues or pregnancy, it’s perfect for active travelers aged 7+ seeking an adrenaline-packed reef encounter.
Note: Tours only operate when weather permits (alternative Low Isles option available in windy conditions). Bring your swimwear, towel, sunscreen and sense of adventure – we handle the rest!

- Only runs if wind forecast is favourable. If forecast is too windy, Low Isles is a better option due to protection from wind and waves.
Reef Sprinter has a strict 48 hour 100% cancellation policy.
Any cancellations or changes to your booking date or number of passengers need to be made 48 hours before departure time.
Failure to do so will result in NO REFUNDS or CREDIT ISSUED REGARDLESS OF REASON.
(And This includes if YOU cancel due to unfavourable weather, personal illness or change of travel plans)
Please ensure that you have booked the correct date as no refunds or credits will be issued if you book the wrong date and fail to show.
We will issue a full refund for any changes or cancellations made outside of the 48 hour period.
If Reef Sprinter cancel the tour due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will try to reschedule you or if this is not possible then we will issue a full refund.
