Kuranda Koala Gardens
Our acclaimed “boutique” wildlife experience is the Kuranda Koala Gardens. Visitors now have a wonderful chance to interact with some of Australia’s iconic fauna. Take advantage of the chance to “Cuddle a Koala” (the extra cost includes a digital souvenir photo).
Koalas, quokkas, freshwater crocodiles, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, snakes, and monitor lizards can be found in Koala Gardens. But come along for a quick tour of the Nocturnal Wonders exhibit with our wildlife keeper. finding out about gliders, possums, and bilbies. Take a look at our newest display, the “Aussie Bush Collection,” which features marsupials and reptiles.

Australian Butterfly Sanctuary
More than 1500 butterflies reside at the second Australian butterfly sanctuary. Including electric blue Ulysses butterflies, which are butterflies of the native rainforest species. The monarch butterfly, the Cairns birdwing, and the majestic green and yellow. Most importantly, we provide a variety of family-friendly activities. escorted tours of the aviary and breeding facility, as well as informative exhibits.
Kuranda Bird World
Thirdly, you may get up close and personal at one of Tropical North Queensland’s most distinctive animal attractions, Birdworld Kuranda.
Many other species, including some of the most priceless and stunning birds in the world, are also flying around you.
From endangered cassowaries to Amazonian macaws, rainbow lorikeets, galahs, cockatoos, and many others.
Important info Before travel
- In the morning, drive to Smithfield. At the roundabout, take the Kennedy Highway exit to Kuranda. After 15 minutes’ drive, turn left at the traffic lights to enter the village.
- Follow the signs to the Barron Falls lookout. A 1200-meter (40-minute) return walk.
- Return to Kuranda village and utilise the all-day free carpark on Thoree Street.
- Take the steps to Coondoo Street to find a selection of coffee shops and cafes.
- Once revitalised, head to the Kuranda Heritage Markets, home of Kuranda Koala Gardens and Birdworld Kuranda.
- See and experience the best of Australian wildlife at Kuranda Koala Gardens, then meet tame macaws and parrots at Birdworld Kuranda. Grab a souvenir photo cuddling a friendly Koala.
- Cross over Therwine Street to discover the fossil and gemstone museum (free entry) at Emu Ridge Gallery.
- Stroll through the Kuranda Original Rainforest Markets to discover an eclectic collection of eateries, gifts, and wellness centres.
- End the day with some soft adventure and enjoy a cruise on the Barron River with the Kuranda Riverboat. Please note: Riverboat has limited seating; prior booking is recommended, or pay cash onboard.

for more clarification than what is stated on the travel voucher provided.
You are required to check the dates on your voucher match up with the
itinerary requested by you or set by us.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate Drivers license.

• If you purchase open-dated tickets through Cheap Az Travel, they are
valid for 12 months. If you wish to cancel open-dated tickets that are not
booked in for tour dates, a 20% cancellation fee will incur.
• A 20% cancellation fee will be charged for any Greyhound or Premier motor
service bus pass purchased through Cheap Az Travel. But once you

Az Travel is always happy to assist where we can, but we are still bound to the
conditions supplied by the service provider.
DEPOSITS/LAYBYS
Deposits or partial payments known as Laybys paid to Cheap Az Travel for any part
of a package, tour, bus pass, campervan or accommodation are non-refundable if
you wish to cancel. Please ensure you contact Cheap Az Travel as soon as you are
aware you are wanting to cancel, to minimise any cancellation fees incurred from the
Service Provider.
CANCELLATIONS and REFUNDS

Examples where a Cancellation Fee will apply are where a tour is able to run, but

• You are unwell and unable to make your tour or feel too unwell to enjoy the

• Change of mind; therefore, you decide not to proceed with the travel booked.
• You need to fly home for any reason.

limited to: buses unable to get through due to flooding; buses breaking down.
• Oversleeping, therefore missing the tour departure or bus.
• You have misread the date, time or location of the start of tour, bus or
accommodation.
Where cancellations are viewed as out of your control, we recommend you contact
your travel insurance provider.
Cheap Az Travel always recommends you take out the appropriate travel insurance
for your needs.
In the instance of a tour or travel service being cancelled by the Service Provider,
Cheap Az Travel will work with you to either rebook or refund you the amount you
are due less than any supplier charges. This refund is subject to Cheap Az Travel being
fully refunded the amount from the Service Provider who is cancelling the tour or
travel service.
Different cancellation policies are applied by each service provider. Cheap Az Travel
is bound by these cancellation policies. Please familiarise yourself with these
cancellation policies at the time of purchase. Cheap Az Travel will assist in directing
you to these if requested by you.
If a tour does depart but you are not able to get to the tour due to weather or other
circumstances, the tour company may not refund you. This is why we recommend
getting travel insurance before traveling.
Refunds:
Refunds will be placed back onto the same valid Visa or Mastercard that was used to
pay for your booking.
Refunds for amounts paid in cash will be transferred to a bank account provided by
you.
Refunds will be transferred back into the existing bank account that you transferred
the money from paying for your booking.
Cheap Az Travel does not hold any Credit card or bank account details so will require
you to provide them to you for the refund.
