People

Apollo was founded in 1985 by Gus and Carolyn Trouchet as a family business. Their sons, Luke (CEO) and Karl (CFO), took over leadership in 1997 and 1998, driving significant growth and expanding operations internationally to New Zealand, the USA, Canada, and Europe. The company remained family-owned until November 2016, when it went public on the Australian Stock Exchange. In 2022, Apollo merged with Tourism Holdings Ltd (thl), marking a new chapter in its journey.
