Trekker Adventures About
Trekker Adventures is a locally owned luxury 4WD rental company specialising in iconic 4WD set up for comfortable, self-contained travel across New Zealand. We blend rugged capability with down-to-earth luxury — so you can explore Aotearoa’s alpine passes, forest tracks, and quiet coastlines with confidence.
What started as a passion for unique cult-classic vehicles, remote places, and great design became Trekker Adventures: premium vehicles, smart gear, and genuine support — created for travellers who want freedom without compromising comfort.
Every Trekker vehicle comes with a complete travel toolkit, including:
- The vehicle — your way to get there, wherever there may be, in a Defender or Land Cruiser purpose-built for NZ terrain.
- Accommodation — rooftop tent and optional ground tent for flexible, comfortable nights.
- Camping gear — gas cooker & bottle, fridge/cooler, table & chairs, utensils, picnic set, and chilly bin.
Our 4WDs carry the rugged character enthusiasts love — a little patina and the odd rattle — balanced with meticulous maintenance, capability, and well-thought-out comforts.
Pick up your vehicle in Auckland, Christchurch, or Queenstown and set off to discover Aotearoa on your own terms.
