Description

The Hunter Valley has some of Australia’s best wine, food, cheese, chocolate, beers and spirits and we’ll try them all on this tour just an hour from Newcastle!

We’ll visit 3 local boutique wineries and a distillery with a guided tasting by a local supplier at each stop and behind the scenes tours at select locations. At some venues, we’ll bring some chocolates and local cheeses to match the wine and keep your tastebuds exploring the flavours of Australia’s first wine region.

In addition to all the beautiful wines and hand carfted produce, we also include a relaxed one course lunch with a wine, beer or cider to allow guests to take in the Valley’s charm.

Exploring the BEST drinks is what we love to do and tours depart daily from Sydney and The Hunter Valley.

Important Information

What is included in my public Hunter Valley wine tour? Included in your public wine tour will be transportation to and from Ampol Cameron Park, three wineries, lunch, the distillery, cheese and chocolate sampling.

I have allergies/dietary requirements. Will this be catered for? If you have dietary requirements that are generally more common ie lactose intolerant, vegetarian, gluten free, allergic to nuts or shellfish etc, we will advise the restaurant and they will cater to your specific requirements.

If you have requirements that are little more uncommon, please advise us in advance so we can liaise with the restaurant to confirm your requirements.

We will always try our best to cater for all dietary requirements. No request is too big or too small. If you are unsure, please contact us for further details.

PLEASE NOTE: A vegan lunch can be ordered, but the chocolate, cheese and most wine is not vegan. Those on a strict vegan diet CANNOT be catered for on our regular public tour.

Why do i need closed toe shoes? Our tour goes behind the scenes on a production tour of a winery. Closed toe shoes are a requirement of entry to the production area.

What days do you operate the public Hunter Valley wine tours? Generally, public Hunter Valley wine tours operate daily except public holidays and Christmas Eve, Melbourne Cup Day and New Years Eve, but are subject to minimum number requirements.

Is there a minimum number of people to run the tour? We require a minimum of eight (8) people to run this tour. If your selected date does not meet the required minimum, we will contact you as soon as possible to move your booking to an alternative date of your choosing.

What wineries do we go to on a public Hunter Valley tour? We have partnerships with many of Hunter Valley’s finest boutique wineries. Each day can vary with the cellar doors we visit. If you would like to know the exact wineries for your tour, please call us within a week of your departure date.

What time is the Pick Up at Ampol Cameron Park? Approximately 9:45am. We will proivide the exact pick up time the day before the tour. We recommend using 13CABS or a rideshare provider if you don’t have transport.

What time do we get back to Ampol Cameron Park? Approximately 5pm. Please check with your guide on the day for a more accurate arrival time. We recommend using 13CABS if you require further transport. Not all rideshare providers will pick up from this location regularly. Please note the time will vary due to traffic conditions and variables out of our control.

Whats the address and what is there? Ampol Cameron Park – 119 Stenhouse Drive, Cameron Park. There are a few cafes, food outlets, bathrooms and a service station with ample parking around.

Do you pick up from other locations? Not on a public tour. Our buses are usually coming from Sydney and also pick up guests in the Hunter Valley, so we try to keep stops to a minimum.

Will the Hunter Valley wine tour still run if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule our tour? We are not weather dependent for our tours and therefore will always operate. You are mainly indoors in the warmth and comfort of a winery in the cooler months. In the warmer months, you may have the opportunity to have your wine tasting provided outdoors in the fresh air.
