This package includes entry with return transfers from your pickup location in Port Douglas.
- AM option: Morning pickup (about 8:15am) Depart Hartley’s at 1:00pm to return to Port Douglas.
- PM option: Afternoon pickup (about 12:15pm) Depart Hartley’s at 4:45pm to return to Port Douglas.
Entry includes access to the wildlife displays and natural areas, wildlife presentations, a boat ride on Hartley’s Lagoon, various self-guided walks and free wildlife information sheets.
Entry with Return Transfers Port Douglas
Return coach transfers are available from most accommodation locations in Port Douglas. Pickup times advised upon booking.
A minimum of 2 paying persons is required for all bookings with transfers.
[Please note that an Infant does not count as a paying person]
*Children (4 to 15 years) must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is required to actively supervise the children in their care.

Whether you’re craving a coffee, fancying a focaccia or savouring a salad, we have a menu to suit everyone.
Coffee and snacks are available from 8.30am to 4.30pm from Lilies Restaurant overlooking Hartley’s Lagoon.
Hot and cold meals are available between 10.30am to 2.30pm.

9.00am – Boat Cruise
Cruise the still waters of Hartley’s Lagoon and experience the domain of the Saltwater Crocodile in its natural habitat. Nowhere else is it possible to obtain such an intimate insight into the biology and behaviour of crocodiles. Great opportunity for bird watchers to spot Kingfishers, Egrets etc. which choose to live around the lagoons.
9.30am – Cassowary Feeding & Wetland Tour
Learn about these magnificent endangered rainforest birds and help our keeper feed them. Afterwards, join in a guided walk to our wetlands and feed turtles, fish and water birds.
10.00am – Crocodile Farm Tour
Hartley’s have operated a commercial crocodile farm since 1989. Estuarine Crocodiles bred on the premises are raised for their skins and meat. Gain an insight into the operation of our crocodile farm. Learn how farming contributes to the conservation of wild crocodiles in their natural habitat.
10.30am – Boat Cruise
Cruise the still waters of Hartley’s Lagoon and experience the domain of the Saltwater Crocodile in its natural habitat. Nineteen crocs ranging in size from 2.5m to 5m cruise the waters, laze on the bank or build nests, interacting with each other just as they would in the wild. Great opportunity for bird watchers to spot Kingfishers, Egrets etc. which choose to live around the lagoons.
11.00am – Crocodile Feeding
See a huge estuarine (saltwater) crocodile hand fed in a presentation which also features Australia’s indigenous freshwater crocodile.
11.45am- Boat Cruise

3.00pm – Crocodile Attack Show
Watch professional, experienced keepers demonstrate the notorious death roll and head shake. See a huge crocodile hand-fed up close in our specially designed amphitheatre.
4.00pm – Boat Cruise
Cruise the still waters of Hartley’s Lagoon and experience the domain of the Saltwater Crocodile in its natural habitat. Great opportunity for bird watchers to spot Kingfishers, Egrets etc. which choose to live around the lagoons.
4.15pm – Cassowary Feeding
Learn about these magnificent endangered rainforest birds and watch them devour tropical fruit – whole! Cassowaries and their forest home have evolved a complex and mutually beneficial relationship – critical for many other plants and animals. Meet these amazing birds and learn about their origins and close relatives.
4.30pm – Koala Feeding
Koalas spend most of the day fast asleep. Come and share the excitement when they wake up for the afternoon feed at 4.30pm. Feed time is your chance to watch them come alive when presented with fresh gum leaves.
Important Info
Restrictions on Hours and Activities
The owners reserve the right to vary the opening hours, amend or cancel wildlife presentations, animal encounters and boat cruises, alter visitor capacity and restrict the availability of retail products, including food and beverage without prior notice in response to government directives in relation to infectious disease, severe water conditions, safety reasons or other operational issues.
Park is closed for Cairns Iron Man, and the morning of the Gran Fondo due closure of the Captain Cook Highway.
Closed every Christmas Day.
Conditions of Entry
- Children must be accompanied and actively supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
- You must comply with any applicable government health and safety directive which may be enforceable at the time of entry.
- Failure to comply with any instructions from our staff may result in your expulsion from the property.
- Rude and/or abusive behaviour towards our staff, contractors or fellow visitors will not be tolerated.
- The flying of drones on this property is prohibited.
- Commercial photography or filming is not permitted on these premises without prior written consent.
You accept full risk
In entering these premises, you do so voluntarily and entirely at your own risk, including any risk to minors or anybody under your control. You acknowledge that some animals in the premises are by their nature dangerous and capable of causing harm or even death to humans.
Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures accepts no responsibility whatsoever for death, personal injury or loss of any kind howsoever caused to entrants to these premises.
Notwithstanding the generality of this exclusion, you must observe the following rules:-
- Do not climb fences or place any body parts beyond the barriers.
- Do not place or sit children on handrails or fences.
- Do not feed animals except under the supervision of staff.
- Do not throw objects at, poke or harass the animals.
- Keep to designated pathways.
- Sensible footwear is recommended for your own safety.
- Smoking and vaping is prohibited on boardwalks, at amphitheatres, in buildings and at dining areas.
Please use designated smoking areas. - Wash or sanitise your hands after touching animals and before eating.
We reserve the right to remove any person from these premises (the premises includes the boats) who in our opinion, is in breach of the above rules or deemed unacceptable to the proper and safe operation of the premises.
Boat cruise conditions
- Children must be accompanied and actively supervised by a responsible adult.
- Mobile phones to be switched to silent mode for the duration of the ride.
- Passengers must remain seated for the duration of the ride.
- No preferential allocation of seats.
- No food or drink may be consumed on the boat (except bottled water).
- Smoking/vaping is prohibited on the boats.
Conditions on Wildcards
- We reserve the right to cancel your membership where the member:
- Attempts to transfer their Wildcard to another person without our authority;
- Misrepresents themselves to our staff;
- Demonstrates inappropriate behaviour during a visit; or,
- Causes wilful damage to our property, including flora, fauna or facilities.
- Your Wildcard cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
- Your Wildcard provides daytime entry to the selected wildlife park/s and discounts are restricted to the stated products and services.
- Your Wildcard will expire on the date specified unless renewed.
- Photo identification must be presented upon entry to verify the user/s of the Wildcard.
- Entry is subject to our normal entry conditions.
- Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by an actively supervising adult.
- If your card is lost or destroyed, a replacement card can be arranged for a fee of $10.00.
