Just a short 15min drive from Cairns, we take you to the mighty Barron River in amongst the tropical rainforest. Barron Gorge National Park, is well known as one of two White Water Rafting hotspots around Cairns over a challenging grade 3 white-water… If you have already been White Water Rafting before, Riverboarding is your next adventure!

Please allow up to 4.5hrs for the whole experience from start to finish, every day is a little different, depends on weather, road conditions & fun!

What to Bring

- Shoes aren’t needed but thick socks can be a good idea to prevent fins from rubbing
- Maybe something a little warmer in winter, dry change of clothes & jumper
- Camera/Go Pro & attachments (must be hands free)
- Cash (just in case for extras)
- Wear contact lenses rather than prescription glasses.

- Medical Conditions: Please advise diet requirements, allergies, surgeries, impairments, or disabilities that may affect your level of enjoyment on the day & so we can best cater to you.ee to bring your own.
- * There will be time for swimming, so dont forget your swimmers and a towel if you want to dip your toes in.
- Age: Guests under 16 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Pregnancy: Strongly not recommended during any stage of your pregnancy.
- Fitness Levels: We accept your challenge to cater to everyone’s pace, size & ability.
- Swimming Levels: Guests need to have a very basic level of confidence to manovere in the water.
Important Info
All bookings made direct though the operator will be charged the full amount including the levy at the time of booking, unless otherwise discussed with the operator.
All bookings via a booking agent payments will be determined by the bookings agent’s policy which may include full payments, or deposits only.
If full payment is not made at the time of booking, credit card and customer contact details are needed to secure the booking. No shows will be charged at full price if no notice is provided, so please do the right thing and chat to us about it.
- Minimum numbers: We require a minimum of 5 people to guarantee departure, until then it’s not a confirmed departure and in the unlikely event we need to cancel the tour we will try our best to find an alternative, otherwise a full refund will be issues (when booked direct).Cancellation Policy:
- 0-48 hours before travel will attract a 100% cancellation fee at the Operator’s discretion.
- If booked through a third party (not direct), you will need to check with their Terms & Conditions in regards to refunds…
Force Majeure:
In the case of Force Majeure in/around Cairns (meanings circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, threat of war or war, riot, civil strife, terriorist activity, disease, industrial disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and strikes), Cairns Waterfalls/Rapid Boarders will not be liable for any delay, change or cancellation of a trip. Cairns Waterfalls will refund all monies, if we need to cancel our trip.
Please note Cairns Waterfalls/Rapid Boarders is also not responsible for expenses incurred while preparing for a cancelled trip (e.g non-refundable advance purchase of meals, entrance fees not booked through Cairns Waterfalls/Rapid Boarders, visa fees, loss of enjoyment, etc.) or for any additional arrangements made before or after the cancelled trip.
