Join us as we visit Tasmania’s East Coast’s Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay for a fun-filled day of adventure.

After leaving Hobart, we go east on this active 1 day tour before turning north along the coast. On our way to Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay. We pass through the seaside communities of Orford and Swansea. One of Tasmania’s original national parks, Freycinet is renowned for its diverse and breathtaking coastal vistas. Private bays, crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, local fauna, and wonderful walking paths are set against the backdrop of the pink granite mountains.

We make a brief stop at the Freycinet Marine Farm as we approach the Freycinet peninsula for anyone interested in the fresh oysters and mussels from the nearby waters.

With our tour guide, you can choose to return to the beginning of the walk from the Lookout, or if you’re a serious walker, you can spend the rest of your time finishing the descent to Wineglass beach.

Wine Glass Bay hike

Wineglass Bay Beach Hike 2.5-hour round-trip walk requires adequate fitness. You will have plenty of time during our tour to complete the entire trek to Wineglass Bay Beach and back. Once on the beach, you can take in the breathtaking scenery while eating your lunch, go swimming in the clear seas, or simply stroll along the white sands. One of Tasmania’s most rewarding walks leads to this breathtaking site. If you’d rather choose the shorter walking route, then after the tour guide has returned from the Lookout, we explore more of Freycinet National Park. Visit Sleepy Bay, Cape Tourville Lighthouse, Honeymoon Bay, and Great Short Walk.

We start the journey back to Hobart after spending a very full 4 to 5 hours at Freycinet National Park.

Before continuing the drive back to Hobart, we make a brief stop to see the area’s major attraction, the Spikey Bridge erected by convicts, and to refuel and relax at an east coast cafe.

We get back at your Hobart City lodging between 6:00 and 6:00 p.m.

We educate all our guests on Minimal Impact Bushwalking and the Leave No Trace policy’s before entering our National Parks. We provide accurate interpretation and keep wildlife disturbance to a minimum by viewing from appropriate distances and informing our guests how to view wildlife with patience and respect. Activities are always confined to tracks and boardwalks to minimise negative impacts.
