Departing from stunning Noosa Heads, our three-day action-packed adventure tours are the best way to truly experience all that K’gari has to offer. Our epic tour guides will teach you all you need to know about four-wheel driving on beaches and rugged inland tracks while sharing stories of the unique history & culture of this wonderful island.

At the end of each day, you can sit back and relax at our purpose-built eco-campsite, a stone’s throw from the beach! Don’t worry about packing any camping gear or blankets; we have all of this sorted out, including camp toilet facilities.

Pre & Post Accommodation Before tour

Your travel itinerary

The first day of your incredible Fraser Island trip with Island Epeditions has finally arrived. At 6.30 am, we’ll check out of Nomads Noosa Backpackers. You’ll be traveling to Rainbow Beach after we store your bags. where you’ll be there in 1.5 to 2 hours of driving. We only stop here to retrieve our meals and the 4WDs. We’re traveling to the magnificent Fraser Island. If you’re leaving from Rainbow Beach, we’ll pick you up at the BP gas station at 9 a.m. You’ll have the chance to buy alcohol before boarding the ferry. plus any snacks you choose to bring.
From Rainbow Beach, we board the ferry to Hook Point. Southernmost point of Fraser Island. Overnight stays in tents

Another early start is required on your second day so that you can maximize your time on the island! We continue your Fraser Island adventure after breakfast, which consists of cereal, toast, spread, tea, and coffee. Spend the night at the same campsite.

Today, we start our journey after breakfast, and after lunch, it’s time to depart the island. Prior to returning to Nomads Noosa, make a quick stop at Rainbow Beach. To check back in for your post-tour nights and prepare for your post-tour celebration at KB’s bar, arrive any time between 3 and 5.30 pm. Fantastic way to cap off an amazing journey! We can also drop you off in town if you are ending the tour at Rainbow Beach.

Age restiction for this tour is min 18 years of age. And 21 to be a driver

  • Bring your own alcohol (please avoid bringing glass)
    • Compulsory pre-tour briefing held at Nomads Noosa Youth
    Resort at 6pm the day prior to the departure to the island
  • The tour departs from Noosa or Rainbow beach (If opting for a
    Rainbow Beach pick up: please notify Island Expeditions to make
    arrangements to meet you.
  •  Passengers wishing to drive must be 21 years of age and hold a
    valid driver’s licence (minimum of 2 years of driving experience)
  • Departure day:
  • Please meet at Nomads Noosa reception no later
    than 6.30am.
  • If you miss the departure, you miss the tour!•
  • Sleeping bags and linen are available on day of departure
  • ($20 deposit payable in cash and fully refunded when returned to Noosa)

Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be substituted for cash or any other product.

Partial cancellations of one (or multiple) tour component(s) are not permitted.

You can drive on K’gari if: You are 21 years of age with 2 years of driving experience. Hold a valid driving license. If your driver’s license is not written in full English, it must be accompanied by an international driver’s license. No photocopies will be accepted.

Guests are responsible for any damages that occur while on tour as a result of negligence, including at the campsite, in the vehicles, or if you are staying at Nomads Noosa.

We do not take responsibility and will not compensate for any loss or damage to your personal property while in storage or on tour.

Date changes are permitted 7 days prior to your package start date.

Cancellations are permitted up to 7 days prior to your package start date and incur a 5% cancellation fee.

If you miss your departure date or cancel within 7 days of your package start date, a 100% cancellation fee applies.

Tour itineraries can change without notice. Tidal, weather, injury, illness, or vehicle issues may be altered at the operator’s discretion at any time without prior notice. Tours are unlikely to be canceled unless the authorities deem access to the island to be unsafe. If weather conditions make it impossible to reach the island, we will contact you as soon as we know we are unable to travel to reschedule your voucher. If rescheduling is not possible, then please refer to your point of purchase or agent.
Typical events in Queensland can be cyclones, flash flooding, or bushfires, and for this reason, we highly recommend travel insurance.

Guests are responsible for any damages that occur while on tour as a result of negligence, including at the campsite, in the vehicles, or if you are staying at Nomads Noosa. We do not take responsibility and will not compensate for any loss or damage to your personal property while in storage or on tour.

The guide can remove a guest(s) from the tour for any behaviour deemed unruly.

Guests are responsible for personal management of any medical conditions and costs associated with emergency evacuation from the island due to illness or injury, and for these reasons, we highly recommend travel insurance.
