The Tully River has established itself as Australia’s top rafting river on a global scale. Enjoy thrilling grade 3 and 4 rapids while taking in the breathtaking surroundings on this tour. No prior experience is required. An adventurous spirit is!

This top-notch Tully rafting river offers the best rafting opportunities. The breathtaking rainforest gorge surroundings are home to over 45 rapids. Your day starts with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Cairns or Mission Beach. Prior to enjoying the lovely drive to the Feluga Hotel, our base in Tully. If you missed breakfast, you’ll have an opportunity to get something quick before we meet up with any self-drivers and head to the top of the Tully Gorge.

Itinerary

  • 06.00 – 08.30 Tully rafting Pickup from the lodging and beautiful Feluga to Tully drive are included.
  • Comfort stop between 8:30 and 9:00, when it’s time to get a quick breakfast at the historic Feluga Hotel.
  • 09.00 – 09.45 equipped with rafting equipment
  • 10.00 – 12.00 Before you get on the water, your River Guide will meet with you and give you a safety briefing and paddling instructions.
  • 12.00 – 12.30 Take a little pause to rest up and have a picnic lunch along the river.
  • 12.30 – 14.30 To face more challenging rapids on the lower stretch of the river, it’s back into the roiling white water.
  • 14.30 – 14.45 Once there, put on dry clothing and proceed to the take-out location.
  • 06.00 – 08.30 Pick up from accommodation and enjoy the scenic drive to Tully via Feluga.
  • 08.30 – 09.00 Comfort stop and time to grab a quick breakfast at the iconic Feluga Hotel.
  • 09.00 – 09.45 Fitted with rafting gear.
  • 10.00 – 12.00 Meet your River Guide who will give you a safety briefing and paddling instructions before it’s time to hit the water!
  • 12.00 – 12.30 Stop for a quick break to recharge the batteries and enjoy a riverside picnic lunch.
  • 12.30 – 14.30 It’s back to the churning white water to tackle more epic rapids on the lower section of the river.
  • 14.30 – 14.45 Arrive at the take-out point and change into dry clothes.
  • Transfer to the Feluga Hotel between 14.45 and 16.00 where you can have a cold drink or a hot food (at your expense) with your guide and crew.
  • 16.00 – 18.00 As we transport you back to your lodging, sit back and unwind.

What You Should Bring

Swimsuit, towel, change of dry clothes, adventure sandals or secure shoes without thongs, waterproof sunscreen, and a hat to wear beneath a helmet are all recommended (optional). You can rent shoes for $5. Dry shirts and thermal tops are available for $5 per hire. Bring your voucher, cash for more drinks, and any digital images you might like to buy as a fantastic memento of your amazing journey. Please don’t bring Jewelry or other valuables

Please be advised that you must be a capable swimmer for Tully rafting. To take part in rafting on the Tully River, you must also be able to comprehend and follow River Guide instructions in English. For your protection, please. When you are picked up, River Guides will evaluate your level of English proficiency. If there are any reservations regarding your capacity to comprehend directions. Anyone who might be pregnant should not go rafting.

This schedule’s timings and activities are simply meant to serve as general guidelines. These are approximations that could differ owing to events outside our control (such as weather or water). 13 years of age is required to participate. However, anyone under the age of 18 must travel with an adult or responsible guardian. If we find you to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, we will not let you raft for your safety. And in these cases, there will be no reimbursement. Please speak with our helpful staff if you have any medical concerns about which you are concerned. At the conclusion of the tour, action digital images from the day will be offered for sale.
