Immerse yourself in the views and natural beauty of Australia’s Nature Coast on a guided kayak tour while experiencing a buzzing hub of wildlife, including bottlenose dolphins, humpback whales, turtles, rays, and more in this tropical aquatic paradise. This location features scenic views of Rainbow Beach, coloured sand cliffs, Fraser Island, and pristine Honeymoon Bay.

We guide you on a gentle kayak tour in the tropical waters of Honeymoon Bay and Double Island Point headland, taking in the breath-taking views and natural surroundings of the area as well as seeing the Double Island Point Lighthouse from a unique perspective.

Important info before travel

Please bring what you would usually bring to the beach, e.g., a towel, sunscreen, water, camera, snacks, and a change of clothes. It is a requirement that all food, leftovers, and any other waste be taken with you.

Please read below terms and conditions carefully and contact for any further queries. All clients participating in aquatic activities provided by Epic Ocean Adventures are required to complete and sign a Participant Declaration form on the day. Please be aware that any participants under 18 years will require parent/guardian consent.

Rates

All rates are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD$) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). All bookings are subject to availability and are on request basis.

Online processing fee

A processing fee is applicable to all online payments made via direct debit, credit, debit or charge cards.  This 2.6% processing fee is non refundable.

Exclusions

Tours depart daily, excluding 25 December (Christmas Day).

Minimum guest numbers: We require a minimum of 4 participants to operate and reserve the right on the rare occasion to postpone or cancel due to insufficient numbers.

Tour Departure Times & Pick up Locations

Departure times from Noosa Heads vary daily and are generally set around the low tide to access the National Park & Double Island Point on the beach. Specific day departure times can be seen by simply selecting the day in the booking calendar here. Please note: If you want to change the pick up location on your booking you must contact us at least 24 hours prior to the tour’s departure.

Child policy

Children must be over the age of 6 years and accompanied by a full paying adult. Adult rates apply for all guests. Please contact for children below 6 years as some exceptions are made when the weather is ideal. A safety seat will be required.

Liability disclosure conditions

All health/medical conditions must be informed to Epic Ocean Adventures staff prior to departure & detailed on completing participant declaration.

Participants must not participate in any activity if they have any injury, disability, medical or health condition that may increase them in becoming injured unless Epic Ocean Adventures has been made aware of it and authorised and agreed for guest to participate.

Participants active in aqua tours & lessons must be able to swim competently. There is a weight limit for participant of 100kg for kayaking tours.

Epic Ocean Adventures is not responsible for any lost equipment on the day of the tour. We do not recommend that you bring valuable items like cameras, phones and expensive sunglasses on the kayaks. If you do decide to bring this equipment along, it’s completely at your own risk. We would recommend that the equipment has something that floats attached to them and is completely waterproof.

Payment Policy

Reservations can be made direct by calling or emailing us, on our website, or with any registered travel agent or hostel. When booking, a $35 deposit per person is required at the time of booking. IMPORTANT: Tours have to be paid in full 7 days prior to the tour departure. If not paid in full 7 days prior to the tour departure, you may lose your booking and your deposit. We do not have EFTPOS facilities on our vehicles.
All credit card payments (Visa and MasterCard) incur a 2.6% Merchant Levy surcharge. This surcharge is non refundable.This surcharge is subject to change without notice. All bookings made via Travel Agents or other booking partners may be subject to their own set of payment terms. 

Guest Amendments
Subject to availability, you may amend your booking. If an alternate date is unavailable or unsuitable and you cannot travel on the original date your booking will be subject to our standard cancellation terms detailed below.
Changes made within 48 hours of the scheduled departure – will incur full cancellation fees and passengers will be required to pay the full cost of any new tour which is booked. 

Amendments by Epic Ocean Adventures
 
Passengers accept that we may need to alter or amend tour arrangements from those published, with little or no notice. This may be due to beach conditions, weather, safety factors, and other operational considerations or government regulations or directions. Such decisions will be made in the best interests of the passenger’s comfort and safety, or where required by law. In these circumstances, Epic Ocean Adventures will endeavor to make suitable alternative arrangements. Please keep the day of your tour free from other commitments in case we have to change the departure time last minute due to beach or weather conditions. Full refunds cannot be provided if the customer wants to cancel due to a last minute amendment.
Passengers need to make sure their contact details are correctly entered upon booking. We contact you by phone and email if we have to change the departure time last minute. Not providing us with the correct contact details, and therefor not receiving our communications in regards to change of departure times may result in missing the tour. This will be classified as a “no show”. No refunds are given to a “no show” booking. Epic Ocean Adventures cannot be held responsible for the incorrect contact information.
 
Cancellation By You
 
Due to the extensive planning and costs associated with touring, the following cancellation fees will apply in the event you should cancel for any reason. 

Outside 7 Days from Departure Date – Full refund, less any unrecoverable credit card or booking fees which we may have incurred
Within 7 Days – 48 hours from Departure Date – Refund minus a deposit of $35 per person, or a travel credit.
Within 48 hours before Departure Date – 100% Cancellation Fee

Failure to show up on time is non-refundable.
We offer the possibility to process a 100% travel credit for future tours with Epic Ocean Adventures instead of cancelling – you have 36 months to use this credit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour’s departure cannot be rescheduled and are forfeited.
Insurance 

We encourage all passengers to take out adequate travel insurance coverage to protect themselves against cancellation due to illness prior to or during travel. In the event of a traveller becoming ill during a tour, all hospital and medical expenses are the traveller’s responsibility and they shall not be entitled to any refund, either total or partial, of passage money paid. Your travel insurance should cover the lost money.

Cancellation by Epic Ocean Adventures
At times, Epic Ocean Adventures may have to cancel a tour. Real time assessment may result in cancellation before, on arrival, or during tours. In the event we do have to cancel prior to the tour’s departure, every effort will be made to rebook you to a more suitable day. If the alternative is not suitable, we will give you a 100% travel credit for future tours (without expiry) or we refund you. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external factors beyond our control, including weather and beach conditions, any potential refund will be less any unrecoverable booking and credit card fees that may have been incurred. If the tour is cancelled due to unforeseen bad weather conditions when arriving at Double Island Point, you will not be able to receive a refund, but a lifetime voucher will be supplied.

Epic Ocean Adventures directors, management & staff shall not be responsible or liable for death or injury to any persons, or loss of/damage to any property due to a persons negligence. Due to the natural and non-contrived environment in which tours operate, Epic Ocean Adventures has a 90% rate of spotting dolphins on tour. However, we do not guarantee sightings of dolphins or any other marine life on any given day.

Wildlife

Due to the natural and non-contrived environment in which tours operate, Epic Ocean Adventures cannot guarantee sighting of dolphins or any other marine life within the Great Sandy National Park. Nevertheless, our success rate is on average 90% for dolphin spotting on tour and due to the remote location of the tour the chances are high.

Epic Ocean Adventures does not conduct any commercial whale watching programs and as such does not guarantee any marine life sightings. However, during the whale migration season our kayaking Eco tours often can come across migrating whales and the chances of experiencing the whales pass by in season are high.

Sea Kayaking

All participants must be able to swim competently, under 100kg. Any participant that are outside these requirements must obtain prior approval by operator. Eg. small children under 6 yrs

Covid-19

Epic Ocean Adventures reserves the right to follow any covid-19 recommendations or procedures released by QLD Health at any time. If this is subject to cancellation the cancellation policy above applies.

Guarantees

**Guarantee stand up on your first surf lesson or your next surf lesson free – Under conditions that the participant is active in the full length of the surf lesson & fully complies to the instruction & safety procedures from Epic Ocean Adventures instructors. Failure to do so will make this offer void.

Indemnity

Epic Ocean Adventures directors, partners, management and staff shall not be responsible for death or injury to any persons, or loss or damage to any property due to a persons negligence.

Although we always endeavor to run our tours daily, participants safety is our number one priority and this is why we hold a 100% safety record. Please understand that on rare occasions due to our tours operating in a unique natural environment, time changes and postponement of tour can happen and we understand they are not always convenient however may be required.
