Our 1-day Shark Cage Diving Charters are an AUSTRALIAN FIRST, since these charters are exclusively available in Port Lincoln.
Join us on our one-day Advanced Eco-Certified Shark Cage Dive Tour! A full-day charter to Neptune Islands Marine Park, where you will cage dive with great white sharks.
The South Australian Department of Environment has fully licenced Calypso Star Charters. We are also the only one-day operator authorised by the Fisheries Department to utilise natural fish berley to lure Great White Sharks to our boat. In the Neptune Islands Marine Park. Berley gives us the best possibility of seeing sharks and engaging in fruitful engagement near to our vessel and cage. Resulting in a memorable encounter and fantastic photography opportunities both inside and outside the cage.
We are happy to be a Eco Certified and a Climate Action Leader, in addition to our permission to berley in Australian waters.
If you are driving yourself to the boat in the morning, please come by 6.20am.
The trip to the Neptune Islands takes around 3 hours, and we cruise across open water. As a precaution, we strongly advise you to take travel sickness medication the night before your charter and again the morning of your arrival at the Marina.
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, cappuccino, and filtered water are all provided. Throughout the day, soft beverages and bottled water are available for purchase. As a legal vessel, the bar opens on the trip home, selling beer, cider, wine, and champagne.
Great Whites have frequently circled the boat before we dropped the anchor. Groups of up to eight enter our new big cage at a time, allowing lots of room for great shark watching! When the sharks come, each group will have the opportunity to go cage diving with the incredible Great White Shark. Please keep in mind that cage diving times can vary depending on shark activity and weather conditions on the day.
View these amazing creatures via the beautiful water that surrounds the Neptune Islands. While you’re not in the water, you’re not missing out; the activity from the upper and lower decks is great. Keep your camera handy for those perfect photo chances.
All visitors accessing the Ron and Valerie Taylor Marine Park (Neptune Islands) on a shark cage diving excursion must pay the Visitor Use Fee. This fee is used to fund the industry’s government management, research, and compliance costs.
Our trips are the same price whether you choose to dive or not, because when a shark is spotted, everyone on board gets to see it, not just those in the cage. We urge all customers to dive in the shark cage while respecting those who choose to observe from the boat. As part of our No Shark Policy, we provide a discounted return ticket if no sharks are observed.
