From Cairns, it takes only 15 minutes to go to the enormous Barron River, which is tucked away in a tropical jungle. The tough grade 3 white-water rapids in Barron Gorge National Park, one of two prime locations for whitewater rafting in Cairns, are well known. River boarding is your next adventure if you’ve already experienced white water rafting.

What to Bring:
- BYO food – Snacks
- Swimmers, boardies, cozzies, bikinis, rash top (Optional)
- Towel, Sunnies & Sunscreen
- Comfy sandals or flip flops
- Shoes aren’t needed but thick socks can be a good idea to prevent fins from rubbing
- Maybe something a little warmer in winter, dry change of clothes & jumper
- Camera/Go Pro & attachments (must be hands free)
- Cash (just in case for extras)
- Wear contact lenses rather than prescription glasses.
- Daily medication
- Humour & a sense of adventure
Restrictions:
- Guests under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Strongly not recommended during any stage of your pregnancy.
