With Autopia adventures return tour, Perth is your starting point. Before heading north into Western Australia, a nature lover’s paradise. Hike down to the Murchison River’s banks and peer through Nature’s Window into an ancient gorge. There will also be an opportunity to test your abseiling skills for those looking for a unique view of the gorge (own expense). A visit to Shark Bay, a World Heritage Site, will leave you in awe of nature’s beauty. Above all, at Monkey Mia, you can marvel at a beach made entirely of tiny shells, meet the world’s oldest living fossils, stromatolites, and watch dolphins play just off shore.

Did someone say dolphins ?

The region is home to over 2000 dolphins, as well as turtles, dugongs, kangaroos, and emus! Visit the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef, which is known for its diverse marine life, manta rays, and whale shark visitors!

Stay the night in Coral Bay, a town right on the beach with coral so close to the shore that you can swim out to see it. OR Join a tour to see whale sharks or manta rays. The pristine beaches and turquoise waters here will leave a lasting impression, whether you choose to join a boat tour or simply relax on the beach. Definitely a place you’ll want to return.

We follow the road all the way to Exmouth Cape, where rugged mountains almost reach the sea. Views of the reef and ranges can be had from the lighthouse on Vlamingh Head. In the spring, you may even see migrating humpback and whalesharks. Visit Turquoise Bay, a snorkelling paradise, to round out your tour of the Cape. We return to Perth from Exmouth, stopping for numerous comfort breaks and seaside stops. Take advantage of this last chance to cement new friendships and reflect on your adventure together.
