Agnes Waters (1770)


Seventeen Seventy, also written as 1770, is the only town to have a full numerical name. It is located near Agnes Waters in the Gladstone region. 1770 was built on the site of the 2nd landing in Australia by James Cook in May 1770, hence the name and the community of 1770 hold the re-enactment of this historic landing each year as part of the 1770 Festival held in May.

1770 is also the home of Scooterooing which was voted one of the top 5 things to do on the east coast of Australia! It's a once in a life time opportunity to become part of a biker gang! Ride With 40 other riders wearing flame leather jackets and covering yourself with tattoos (Temporary ones). Cruising around the historical town of Agnes Water 1770 and see some beautiful sights on the way. Look out for Kangaroos and Wallabies and then head to the coast to watch sunset with an unobsc on the east coast.Live for the Ride...
